Admission Rules

  • The admission is strictly on merit.
  • Gap year cases are not considered for admission unless properly justified.
  • Preference is given to college students for admission to B.A, B.com, B.Sc II & III , M.A/M.sc II
  • An extra weightage for merit can be claimed only after fulfilling minimum qualifications /eligibility percentage prescribed by the university.
  • Detailed marks card is to be produced at the time of interview for admission failing which the merit is considered on the basic of 35% marks in the concerned subject provided eligibility conditions are fulfilled by the adding these marks.
  • Passed candidates in M.A I & II are not eligible to seek admission in M.A I in any subject.
  • Failed / detained candidates are not re-admitted.
  • In case of late result, the candidate can apply for admission within three days of the declaration of result provided he appeared in P.S.E.B Mohali, P.U Chandigarh.
  • Disqualified candidates by any university/ Board are not admitted.
  • Candidates migrating from other University/ Board have to produce their migration certificate within 21 days from the date of admission.
  • Candidates applying for more than one course have to fill up separate forms for each subjects/ group.
  • Candidate must present himself / herself before the interview board on the prescribed date and time along with original certificates. Merit list/ other relevant information is displayed on the notice board. Finding it out is entirely the responsibility of the candidate.
  • Admission is liable to be cancelled in case requisite fee is no deposited within 24 hours of the admission.
  • These rules are liable to be changed by the principal of the college as per the direction of the University / Punjab government.
  • Principal is authorized to cancel admission of a candidate at any time without prior-notice /assigning any reason.
  • Seats are de-reserved in case requisite number of candidates are not available in a particular category.
  • Candidates from reserve categories, if eligible as per general merit, are admitted in the general category.
