During the last academic session, our college made outstanding achievments in the field of cultural and literary activities
under the able guidance of Prof. Ram Gopal Sager, the Co-ordinator and Dr.Sukhpal Singh Thind, Deputy Co-ordinator Cultural Activities.
The College bagged over-all runners-up Trophy in the Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar Zonal Youth Festival by winning 27 prizes out of
total 34, a maximum number won by any single College. Every year at the beginning of the session a Talent Search Competition is organized. From
11 to 13 August 2006, the Preliminary Talent Search Competitions were organized in which more than 300 students took part in about 34 items.
- A Computer lab was started with the help of NRI Old Students.
- Mr.Bhagat Singh Bhandal was instrumental in planning and getting a Basketball Court of International standards made at a cost of three and a half
- Annual function of Old Students Association was held on 11-03-2006 and had a record presence of approximately 250 old students. Eminent Old Student, Dr. G.S. Aujla,
IPS, DGP (Rules), was the Cheif Guest. He inaugrated the newly constructed Basket Ball Court. An exhibition match between the Kapurthala and RCF Basket Ball teams was
organized. Mr.Damanbir Singh Jaspal,IAS,Principal Secretary (Public Relations),and famous poet Surjit Pattar were the Guests of Honour at the function.
- On this occasion, Mr. Kundan Singh Khera, President,Old Students Association, wrote out a cheque for Rs.1.5 lakh for the beautification of the College Gate.A beautiful gate has been
built with this money.Now, the OSA has adopted the main lawn of the College for maintence and beautification.
- The Old students were exceptionally active this year and participated in the college functions in large numbers and donated money for undertaking various developmental projects in the college.
A water cooler has been installed by Mr.Joginder Singh Toor,NRI Alumni, for the College students. College old students are helping in a big way for the development of the college.
